How Our First Responder Giving Works
The Ampersand First Responder Fund supports practical needs and meaningful gestures of appreciation for local first responders. Our focus rotates each quarter:
January–March: Firefighters · Spotlight month: February
April–June: Dispatchers · Spotlight month: April
July–September: EMS · Spotlight month: July
October–December: Law Enforcement · Spotlight month: November
Throughout the year, 20% of sales from this collection supports the quarter’s featured group. During its spotlight month, 100% of proceeds after actual material costs goes toward that group, and I donate all of my labor.
The purchase date determines which group benefits—not the design you choose. For example, a firefighter-themed item purchased during April supports dispatchers.
We’ll work with participating local departments to identify useful ways to give back, from needed supplies to an appreciation meal. While recipients are being finalized, funds will be tracked and set aside for the designated group. Confirmed recipients and giving updates will be shared on our Ampersand Gives Back page.
