How Our Classroom Fund Giving Works

The Ampersand Classroom Fund helps fulfill classroom needs for teachers here in Sierra County—from supplies and learning materials to items on their Amazon wishlists.

Throughout the year, 20% of proceeds from all teacher and teacher appreciation purchases goes into the fund.

During August—our Classroom Fund spotlight month, 100% of profits from purchases that aren’t part of another Gives Back campaign—including custom orders— goes toward meeting local teachers’ classroom needs.

Funds are used to purchase requested items directly, helping get supplies into the classrooms where they’re needed.

Know a Sierra County teacher who could use support with classroom supplies? Nominate them for the Ampersand Classroom Fund—or nominate yourself! Starting July 15th and ending August 15th with funds being distributed the end of start of September. We’ll welcome nominations highlighting classroom needs and teacher wishlists to help guide our August giving.
