Custom Order Policies
Thank you for choosing Ampersand Creations! Because many of my items are handmade and created specifically for each customer, please review the following policies before placing a custom order request.
Custom Order Requests
Submitting a custom order request does not automatically confirm your order. I will review your request and contact you to confirm the design, pricing, availability, estimated completion time, and any other necessary details.
I reserve the right to decline an order that I am unable to complete, cannot reasonably complete by the requested date, or am otherwise unable to accept.
Quotes & Pricing
Custom orders will receive a price based on the materials, design, personalization, size, quantity, and labor required.
Quotes are valid for 14 days. After 14 days, pricing may need to be recalculated due to changes in material costs or availability.
Any changes requested after a quote has been accepted may change the final price.
Deposits & Payment
Custom orders under $20 must be paid in full before work begins.
Custom orders of $20 or more require a 50% deposit before materials are purchased or work begins.
Deposits become non-refundable once materials have been purchased or work has begun.
The remaining balance must be paid when the order is complete and before the item is picked up, delivered, or shipped.
An order is not considered confirmed and will not be added to my production schedule until the required payment or deposit has been received.
Design Approval
Some custom orders may require a design proof before production.
When a proof is provided, please carefully review all:
Names and spelling
Dates
Wording
Colors
Sizes
Placement
Other personalization
Production will begin after the design is approved.
Once a design has been approved and production has begun, changes may not be possible. If a change can be made, additional charges may apply for extra materials or work.
Customer-Provided Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate names, spelling, dates, sizes, colors, wording, and other personalization information.
If an item is made according to the information submitted by the customer or according to an approved design proof, Ampersand Creations is not responsible for errors in the information provided.
If I make an error that was not present in the information or approved design you provided, I will correct the error at no additional cost.
Changes to an Order
Changes may be requested before materials are purchased or production begins.
After materials have been purchased or work has begun, changes may not be possible.
If a requested change can be accommodated but requires additional materials or labor, the customer will be responsible for the additional cost before work continues.
Cancellations
Orders may be canceled for a refund before materials have been purchased and before work has begun.
Once materials have been purchased or production has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.
If an amount greater than the required deposit has already been paid, any refundable portion will be determined based on materials purchased and work already completed.
Custom & Personalized Item Returns
Because custom and personalized products are created specifically for the customer and generally cannot be resold, custom and personalized items are final sale.
Returns or refunds will be considered if:
Ampersand Creations made an error that differs from the information/design approved by the customer, or
The item has a defect attributable to workmanship.
Please contact me as soon as possible if there is a problem with your order so I have an opportunity to make it right.
Handmade Items
Ampersand Creations products are handmade. Small variations may occur in items such as glitter placement, patterns, colors, positioning, and other handmade elements.
These reasonable variations are part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.
This policy does not apply to significant errors or defects in workmanship.
Turnaround & Requested Dates
Estimated completion times will be provided when your order is confirmed.
Requested completion dates are not guaranteed until I have reviewed and accepted the order.
Turnaround times may vary depending on the type of product, complexity, material availability, current order volume, and quantity ordered.
If an unexpected delay occurs, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Rush Orders
Rush orders may be accepted depending on my current workload and material availability.
A rush fee may apply and will be disclosed before you agree to the order.
I reserve the right to decline a rush request if I cannot reasonably complete the order by the requested date.
Pickup
Customers will be notified when their order is complete.
Local orders should be picked up or arrangements made within 14 days of the completion notification, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon.
If an order has not been picked up, I may contact the customer with additional reminders.
Delivery
Local delivery is available within Truth or Consequences, Elephant Butte, and Williamsburg at no additional charge.
When your order is complete, Ampersand Creations will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery date, time, and location.
Delivery outside of Truth or Consequences, Elephant Butte, or Williamsburg may be available upon request and will be subject to an additional delivery fee based on location and distance. Any applicable delivery fee will be discussed and approved before delivery is scheduled.
Customers are responsible for being available at the agreed-upon delivery time and location. If a delivery cannot be completed because the customer is unavailable, a new delivery time will need to be arranged and an additional delivery fee may apply.
Full payment is required before or at the time of delivery. Custom orders will not be released until the remaining balance has been paid in full.
Shipping
Shipping is not available
Materials & Availability
Specific colors, brands, styles, sizes, or materials may occasionally become unavailable.
If something necessary for your order becomes unavailable, I will contact you to discuss available substitutions or other options before making a significant change to your order.
I will not substitute a materially different item without customer approval.
Right to Decline Orders
Ampersand Creations reserves the right to decline an order that I am unable or unwilling to produce, including designs that I cannot legally reproduce or materials/products that are unavailable.
